It's extremely unlikely that I'll make it.

    A great day

A fair few vehicles and people turned up. The situation doesn't seem hopeless just yet - so it isn't fate d'compli just yet.

Anyway - we ventured in Newnes again (as you do if you're in the area) and I must say that I'm utterly converted to my Defender now. It will take a little bit to get used too yet offroad (wheelbase, power delivery with the fly-by-wire Td5, etc) but I can now see what Land Rover nuts are going on about.

Thanks Ace, Scouse and xsi - I had a great time and feel that it was a worthwhile excercise.

Scouse - I completely forgot to get my camera out of the bag - did you get a few photos of the day?

    Cheers

I have an image to uphold.
It's a Range Rover & we can't give the public the impression these 4wds actually go off road now, can we ?

On the other hand, a Defender is supposed to be dirty.

Mine's still covered in gunk from head to foot..... and thanks to water restrictions it will remain that way until it rains next. :?

Wife took defender to Church on Sunday morning - got plenty of stares according to my son

BTW - thanks guy's for looking after me - I was crapping bricks when I almost missed the turn down and right away from the bog hole.

You would have made it through .

If you didn't make it through, we wouldn't have taken any pictures of you anyway.

Well, maybe just one or two for our personal use  .
