Has anyone bothered or had any success doing supposed eye exercises to postpone the effects of ageing, or are they just a placebo?

Age is catching up, I'm having to search for good light or get the apprentice to read fine print on a control or component.
Or just take a picture and enlarge it! Fed up of wearing glasses, thinking of eye surgery!

Interestingly my long vision stared to deteriorate first.

I use glasses but only for driving and perving......
Younger bro had worn them for many years but suddenly decided to get an eye surgeon mate of his to fix them and he reckons it's great. Don't ask me exactly what he had done though.
My old Mum had the worst of her eyes fixed when she was 90 as she was down to less than 10% vision..... suddenly she could see again but got too confident in her new found ability, fell over and broke her hip and died.

Yep that's the start of it all.

I wear progressives all the time.

Started wearing cheap glasses for reading ages ago,and it gradually got worse.

Once you start wearing them all the time they never seem to get broken or lost, unlike when you only use them for reading or looking at things close up.

The biggest PITA is working in Freezer rooms, everytime I come out to get something they fog up.

But I have my eyesight back which is great.

One of my sons has always had bad eyes.He had laser surgery over 10yrs ago,and still all good.

Oh,and eye exercises, sorry don't know anything about them.
