    all the machinery is there already, just need a change in a supplier or two---

    Land Rovers are being added to the list. LR has to supply a list of the VINs by early April, according to the story I linked to earlier.
    Not a problem for Defender owners of course, since we are airbag-free.

    Good news is I rang the dealer today and our Mazda2 is not on the list of affected VIN numbers. Apparently letters are being sent to the owners of affected vehicles.

    Are we getting new airbags?

    I saw in the news JLR now caught up in the recall.

    Does it just affect steering wheel airbags?

    I think you have posted the earlier voluntary recall notice.

    As of yesterday Feb 28, Toyota, Mercedes, VW, Skoda, Land Rover, Holden, Ford and many others have been given a mandatory recall order by the Federal Government.

    Specific models have not yet been advised.
