Thanks for the warning. I was going to make the trek over but it sounds like a complete waste of money.
These car shows should be about new models not yet available, exotics etc.
If you want standard stuff, and I believe a Barina was there, go to a car yard. I would like to sit in something that I cannot afford or that no dealer has.
This is the opportunity to place an order and kick back for six months.
A 2010 mock up Fender would have been nice. Would have stirred all the LR fans and kept interest in the Marque. Also good for feedback to the factory before they screw it up completely. :?

I believe there was a car there like that. The Golf GTI. The waiting list is now 12 months, and I believe dealers have stopped taking orders now they are so far behind! And you could sit in it. There is all your criteria!

There is always one! I love our Golf and the GTi would be fantastic. I think the "Top Gear" auto show scored it highly.

Motor Show was completely lame. This is not a Motor Show.
Had to spend a few hours there for work. My observations
1. There is NOTHING to see. 8O Maybe 6 "exotic" cars all up, that you can see anywhere, anytime in Brisbane. The rest is just a glorified, undercover version of the Magic Mile
2. Models - ok something to see. Hyundai obviously budget for models, the same way they do their cars, and they look the same - cheap, podgy, unattractive.
3. The redback Aussie "supercar" - w*nk on!! $250,000 for a homemade kitcar, unproven and NOT complianced or registerable in Australia.
4. Croc Chopper build - ditto, what a lame ass rip off. Building ugly choppers and trying to cash in on OCC fame. Trying to flog "custom" choppers for $60k, that you can't register - yeah right.
5. No decent manufacturers displays or exhibits
6. No concept cars that are in any way exciting or even interesting
7. Bowdens collection of historic cars and the RACQ's wiggle car - the highlight!!!
8. If I had to pay to get in I wouldn't have walked through the doors

.I think it is the weekend of the 18th of this month. I went last year and it had anything you want or need to buy for a 4x4. A few good shows as well

No major damage, just damaged another rear corner mould ( 2nd one ).
So a rear bar would solve that problem and give me more clearance
