Got another Discovery with pics now

For several reasons I have brought a very dark grey manual 1997 300 TDI with 253 K`s It is in very tidy condition. Brought from a dealer and they have had the roof and bonnet resprayed due to the usual clear coat peeling. Comes fitted with a set of bfg all terrains that are near new, safari snorkel, arb winch bar with winch, dual battery`s and what looks to be a Pedders suspension lift with new shock absorbers. Motor seems to be in good order and has plenty of go in it. Underneath is surprisingly dry and clean with only some weeping around the tranfer case. Interior is in good condition as well. Service book shows that it has been regularly serviced and some work has been done by Ritters . So hopefully I have brought well. Will be nice to get more than a week out of a tank of fuel.

    Withdrawal symptoms?
That could well be one of the reasons. This will be the fourth diesel I have owned. The other reasons you put forward I will explore as I get to know this particular diesel.
