    Back from SA

    Hi All,

Back on air again after a week away in Sth Australia, had limited "dialup" access while I was away but it was pretty pathetic.

Got to say that although I was by myself and only had limited spare time and a rental dunnydore, I did manage to have a bit of a quick look aroung the SE corner and into the Barossa, and it was very nice indeed, definately need to bring the family back for a good extended look.

The Barossa certainly has gone a little up market since I last visited 20+ years ago, but it doesn't seem to have gone over the top which is nice, also you SA guys, whats the Coorong like, I only flashed through on the way to Mt Gambier, but it looked like it could hold alot of potential.

Also cant believe how relaxed and laid back it was on the roads, a nice change after the way Brisbane has changed in the last 5 years.

Lots of good camping and beach driving opportunities along the Coorong, esp down near Beachport/Robe. Sand can be really soft so make sure you've got a good amount of recovery gear.

I always think the initial stretch (coming from Adelaide) between Tailem Bend and Policeman's point is mind-numbingly desolate, but others would disagree I suppose as there are quite a few holiday shacks along there.

If you left it a couple of weeks you could have seen the Clipsal 500. Adelaide goes off that week

    Is that possible 8O

Part of the reason I was there last week(not race related) was it wasn't crowded and still a relaxed atmosphere and I could still get accomodation despite it being Adelaide Cup week and Fringe Festival time. 8O
