Must be a full moon on eBay - as some strange customers over the last month

Over the last month there have been some strange customers using ebay. For those that use ebay you will know to make purchases you have to click the buy it now button, then the next step is to click the confirm button.

Once the buyer proceeds with the confirmation the seller gets charged commission by ebay for the sale.
So over the last month we are getting numerous buyers confirming a purchase but seem to disappear when it comes time to pay. So we let them go for a few days then remind them payment is due. But no response comes from them, so we politely send them a message asking if they still want the item. Again no courtesy of a reply comes.

So when we instigate a non paying buying dispute with ebay to get our fees back , remarkably the buyer responds when this happens . The usual excuse is they bought it by accident.
then there are those that must buy and hit refresh numerous times clicking up multiple purchases when they only want 1 item. Again we get charged for their mistake by ebay for each item as ebay class it as a sale and the sellers have to reclaim the fees back.

Then are those that reckon they pocket dialed the purchase by mistake. Seems strange how you have to click and confirm the purchase twice.
There must be a hell of a full moon out there this month.

As the old saying goes, 'never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers'. One or two of them are bound to slip through the cracks and get onto eBay.....

Must be fun being an Ebay seller cause it can be a lot of fun being an Ebay buyer.

Here in the nether regions of the world the Roadhouse uses Ebay quite a bit to get variety items that we can't source elsewhere.
One of the things we buy quite a lot of are kids electric cars.
Most of the sellers advertise Free Freight anywhere in Australia.
We get a lot of refunds when they find out where Doomadgee is.
Even if we offer to pay freight a lot of sellers won't deal with us.
Yet I've had other sellers send us trampolines, push bikes, huge above ground pools, all sorts.

My personal opinion, If you advertise you do something then do it!

Yep that's why we dont use any auto freight calculating system cause it can cost us big $,
Yes been caught myself when purchasing stuff, I like to support Australian based businesses and if seller advertises item in Sydney with free post for example but I pay extra for express post which is overnight or 2 days normally as I need it i in a hurry I don't expect it to bedrop shipped from China to Sydney first or even shipped from Hong Kong or China. There are some scammers out there, but ebays ears are deaf to this as they are making money regardless.
