I have given it much thought,... when I was in the little S3 and when I was in the Fender I would allways get waves, and would allways wave back,.. but people in discos dont,...
and the best I can figure, it is as though we are lost as sea togeather, trapped in a bunker at war, or ejected out of plane, driving a series or a fender is an ordeal, it is a fight and a struggle, when people are in a fight or live though an ordeal as such,., it brings them closer togeather,
they have a mutural respect, for the constant suffering, and triumphs we endure every time we turn the key,...

being in a disco in the lap of lux it is easy to get lost in self endulgent thoughts, the ease of travel does not make a bond,

but to be driving at night in a Fender and Freezing yourself to death, then cooking yourself when the sun comes up, and giving up on the stereo as you cant hear it over the terrible sounds screaching from under you, screaming cause you cant hear yourself think, then you see some one comming the other way, in the same style of car, and smile knowing they are fighting the same battle and in some way it makes you feel better, so you show support and wave

This has been given a lot of coverage in other threads, but I wave at everyone and find that most (not all) series and Fender drivers look back at me as if to say who the f**k are you waving at a***hole. (Except the old guys, they just look around as if to say "is that blur a car or a building... by george, Magoo, you've done it again!) 8O

But I'll keep on waving coz they are responsible for their own actions, not me.

Must admit, since the last time this subject was bought up by Redback, I have been waving when ever it was practicable.

But, same here Jamo, and I do get more waves when in the wife’s D3 than I ever get while in the RR.

In the D3 they either wave or don’t, in the RR, 95% of the time, no matter what they are driving, it’s just a blank no-brainer look or, and it’s usually always a fender driver, they not only wave but they usually have a smile from ear to ear.

    Cheers.

I dont know if there was a LROC trip out towards orange on the weekend, but i was on my way to orange on sunday arvo and passed a convoy of half a dozen or so land rovers and not one wave. Wasnt really happy about it. If it was a Land Rover Owners Club outing can it be brought up at the next meeting that it is mandatory on all club trips to wave to every land rover you see. Matt
