I pit crewed for a mate at the Warwick hill climb one Easter. Temp in Brisbane when we took off was over 90F. Foolish us did not have cold weather gear. Just about froze our nuts off in Warwick that night. Down in the low 40'sF.
Can be very cold up in the high border ranges country. Warwick down through New England. I used to cart spuds out of Guyra. Coldest bastard of a place I have yet been to in Australia. Right on top of the New England plateau. There is nothing between Guyra and the South Pole to break the cold winds.
