Not necessarily. There are some participants in this thread who have installed some natural insulation.
I, myself, have just completed installation of some natural insulation. Brrrp.....

    Pardon me.

Since I retired 3 years ago I have joined the ranks of the "Fat Bastards" But I still feel the cold unfortunately.
Maybe the coming lap around OZ will burn a bit off the spare tractor tyre that I am now carrying around my waist hopefully

Too right, I'm the same. Who decided that the "Right Temperature" for air con in buildings was 24° and what is the temperature on a commercial aircraft flight? Bloody cold, that's what!

I once worked in a building where after continual impassioned complaints about the low temperatures in the top floor no windows open plan office, the air con guys installed three phase heaters in the ducts serving this office. What is the sense in this.

This office would have doubled as a Masonic Lodge. Top floor, no windows, access only through another office. I actually hung a square and compass on the door with a legend UGLQ Lodge XXXX. The Regional Manager nearly had pups.

Having lived in the tropics in SEA for a number of years it would amaze me how sensitive the locals were to a drop in temp from 26 to 24. All the winter clothes would come out and the comments of how cold it was. But the a/c in the buildings was usually set around 24 all year round with no complaints, duh!
    Cheers

I would imagine that the majority of the "locals" didn't have the luxury of working in air conditioned comfort.
