    One for the truck drivers

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I don't understand the $100/truck/month charge. Whats that for?

I thought some manufacturers were using technology to check that eyes were open.
    Cheers

It's becoming far more common now to rent tech and software on an ongoing basis to maximise profits. Why sell something for $2000 when you are the only supplier and have a patent on the product and can rent it for years at $100 a month...

A lot of software has already gone this way, and patented tech is too.

The idea's good but I think they're pushing it into the wrong market. Most of the truckies that I know know when they're tired and they don't push on just for the love of it. Maybe they should try marketing it to a government department to get it made compulsory fitment to certain trucks and next time said truck is inspected not only can the inspectors download info on the driveline for errors, they can plug into the steering wheel and tell you that you drove for say 54 minutes at an average speed of 73km/h while the computer was saying no, irrespective of how many rest areas you drove through that were full of grey nomads and hippy vans cashing in on the free amenities. It might be a pipe dream but I reckon the resources would have been better spent towards sorting out a better set of "workplace standards", freight rates or whatever it takes so these blokes don't have to push so hard in the first place. Just my 2 bobs worth.
