Don't forget he also said he'd paid yet nothing has come into my account hours later unlike the purchaser whose deposit appeared within minutes plus he sent a copy of the transfer details.
No excuses for threats or abuse just because you miss out on something...... especially after reckoning LR owners are generally good types.

It's quite possible that he did put the money in. It still takes time for the bank to process direct deposits. Whilst his behaviour is pretty over the top, I can understand his anger. I certainly wouldn't deal with you again if you did that to me.

I ran this past a mate who knows a bit about these types and he said to keep the security cameras going (always anyway) and contact him if anything eventuates.

I think there is a crime called something like 'using a communications carriage to make a threat', but it would probably have to be more vicious than that to justify prosecution.

If he was fair dinkum the money would have been in your account within a day or so. There are plenty of "gunners" out there who say they want your item, barter you down in price and then say they will put the money in your account but fail to deposit any money even though they say they will. As stated nothing is sold until payment is made. First in with the money gets the item in my opinion. I wouldn't feel bad about it at all - his problem.

I'm the second buyer who got the Nanacom . Firstly I'd like to say Alan was fantastic to deal with. I rang him and after a chat about Defenders he had a receipt of my bank transfer and an hour later I had a tracking number for the item.

Alan - sorry the other guy is being a dick. I hope it's just the case of him blowing of steam.

Ok i might be bias here as I came out in front, but I don't believe Alan did anything wrong. If you're buying things of Gumtree and you're serious then don't mess the buyer around. It's not hard to take a screenshot of a bank transfer receipt and email / text it through.
