    Vale Stephen Stansfield

The world is a poorer place today with the passing of one Stephen Stansfield, REMLR member No 1

His land rover ambulance "Norma Jean" was something special and he certainly loved it with a passion few have.

the man also had one of the best collections of models i have seen over the years.

he saved many many lives during his years as an ambulance officer and paid a high personal price for the experiences

Rest in Peace, Stephen, you've earned it.

    RIP Stephen

His collection was certainly an impressive one, and we are only talking about the models. Norma Jean was impressive as well, one of the best restored Ambulances we have ever seen.

Did a few displays with Stephen over the years , always found him interesting to talk to about his work as a Ambo. That LR Ambulance always made the hair on the back of my neck stand up when he opened the back doors , SO REAL.

Boonah show parade won't be the same tomorrow.

Unforetunately I did not know Stephen even though he only lived a stones throw away from my house and I think my neighbours son is married to his daughter.

However seeing the Blood Box was always a highlight of the Boonah show for me.

    RIP Stephen
