Dropped into my local main street today after work, parked near a nice clean looking XF Jaguar which caught my eye, well more my ear really. It was parked, unlocked, keys in ignition and quite happily idling (or purring?). No one around. I expected someone to be perhaps returning a shopping trolly....
I kept going, visited two banks, the post office and see if anything took my eye in the newsagents then back to car.
The XF was still there, I swear 35-40mim later. Hahaha.
I sat in my car for probably another 15 min paying bills on my phone quietly hoping to see the space caddet that owns the XF
Prob some old chook gone shopping and lost her mind.
Either way, im certainly not touching it!
I felt a certain duty of care and rung a mate at the local cop shop who had a good laugh but will have the general duties guys swing past.
They dont call this part of the Mornington Penninsula "Gods Waiting Room" for nothing.![]()

Tempting...Hell yes.
Waiting? Hell yes.![]()
Maybe they were running the air con to keep the car at a nice temperature for when they returned.
Back when i was about 19 a mate and myself were on a break from work and we came across a Merc SL roadster in a side street in St Yarra with the keys in the ignition, also saw a Kwaka 1100 with the keys in the seat lock.
