Moments later the passenger handed the cyclist a drink.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

That would be lovely, Gav. In a recent post you made mention of what a lovely place Mario and Heather live in. I live not far from them, in Sassafras. Pop up here on the weekend, observe the behaviour, and report back. I really want to hear from you. Spend a weekend. I'll put you up. Then you can talk about "sharing". You may be surprised.

Ok ,so it is the “sport” riders that seem to be the problem . So average commuter riders , the rare kid that rides to school or someone off to the shops has no issues with other road users? Interesting as any one of these people could have or might represent your country at some time , then great displays of support. The rest at least they are giving some physical activity a try.

I meant sharing from both sides of the coin - there is no 'right' side on this debate. There's selfish drivers and riders, simple. My post was directed at both sides. 😊 I'll happily pop up there though, I like the area - I'll bring my bike... 😁 (it's got 1000cc motor on it, don't worry)

Might as well ask for world peace while I'm at it - about the same chance of that happening.

I don't get why we can't make it work here when so many other countries can. Why are Australians just dead set arseholes to each other all the time? I don't get it.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Clearly the lead cyclist is not keeping to the side as far as is practical and the and the second one is. If both were keeping right the car would have had no problem keeping a requisite distance.

In much of Europe cyclists are obliged to ride in single file even on designated cycle paths..

In Canberra cyclists can ride on the footpaths and seem to think they have a god given right to always have right of way over pedestrians.

Also a little while back the laws were changed to allow them to ride across pedestrian crossings - the issue is they often approach the crossings at speed and drivers can not see them when they check but they are there when crossing the the pedestrian crossing.
