SCAM email to watch out for: Origin(energy).

Just got an email from 'Origin Energy' for a power bill.
1/. went to an email address I never use for important communications(ie. person stuff, home bills, etc.) That is, I have this one email address that I never use anywhere other than places of real/phyisical importance .. like home bills and comms between banks, govt agencies ... etc.
    2/. I don't have an Origin account.
3/. look carefully at the sender email address .. it came up as 'info@misswatts dot com' .. highlights the importance of being careful as to what emails you respond too, and how you deal with emails(ie. what client/platform/etc).

So just a shout out to any real Origin energy account holders .. to be careful of any emails you get.
    Arthur.

Have a look at this for some info on what people can do about scammers:

I've previously subscribed to his channel and the work he does to mess with them is fantastic.

    Ah! ..

I haven't had phone scammers call for a while now, except for one a month or two ago now.
What I used to do was to take the call, and place the phone in the kitchen on loudspeaker and make all sorts of pots and pans clanging noises.
You'd hear the scammer on the loudspeaker saying ... "hello .. sir? .. hello? .. hello .. and after a few minutes would hang up.

But the last one a short while back, I thought I'd try a reverse scam.

Got the call, saying their from my bank! .. seriously!

Anyhow, took the call, phone in kitchen, went into living room to see my son.
Came back into kitchen and started 'explaining to son how to get into his bank login'

Started to loudly explain to son that his ANZ bank details are .... of course he has no ANZ bank account, and my sons name is definitely NOT Richard Cranium .... etc, etc.
I wonder if the imbecile on the phone was actually listening and worked out what the password I loudly explained to my son means .. T1wKcuf
I reckon the random series of numbers for the account number was probably 30 or so numbers(impossible to remember) and I can't imagine any bank account having such a convoluted account number.

Hope I wasted a lot of this idiots time .. son laughed when I explained it all to him too!

    Another mobile phone scam

Received a Cold-Call from Switzerland today, on the mobile.
"Gentleman" with an English accent, claiming to be 'Sam Baldwin' from a Germanic-sounding Finance House, offering me 'inside' information about "Albemarle" Corp's upcoming foray into buying a Lithium mine in WA.

Promised to send email (he's got that too !!!) info about this limited opportunity, yada yada yada.

Strung him along for 21:37, which is 21 minutes and 30 seconds more than I usually alot to such things... like cold calls on my 'Do Not Call' -listed mobile.

Blocked both his number and email addy.

EDIT:- Call came through from +41 43 508 65 30. Caller claimed to be in the New York office, but a reverse look-up that I used placed it in the middle of USA, nowhere near NY, State or City. Yet the number on my screen placed it as from Switzerland (+41)

Anyway, legit or not, this is the second time they've rung me, the first call was VERY shrt ! This is part of the ID info below:-

"Felder Wilhelm is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Reference number:&nbsp;443632<br>
Felder Wilhelm: Established and Registered in Austria. Registered Office (Administration): Forststraße 82, Lustenau 6890,"

Funnily, a google search for Felder Wilhelm was... You guessed it. Nothing
