Antipodean impressions of Landies on the Continent ant the UK

So we are about a week away from coming home from a trip around France, Belgium , the UK and Ireland. I thought it might be time to put up some impressions of the Landies that we have seen....

    Spotted:

A D3 G4 Challenge vehicle in Ieper (Ypres)
A Freelander on a Disco Chassis somewhere around Harrogate, didn't get photos, brain was trying to figure out what it was....
Not this one but very similar

A couple of very expensive Range Rovers, one an overfinch, the other a RRS Revere

With regard to Defenders, aside from the 90 they are nearly all working vehicles. there were a variety of new and old 110 station wagons that we saw but these were outnumbered by the commercial versions with no rear windows in both the 90 and 110.

I reckon they are kind of cool even if the console was an option....

A 110 dual cab working hard in the Scottish Highlands, the only one we have seen

And of course the special vehicles at the Land Rover experience

I suspect that I saw a 130 cab chassis with a service body on this afternoon but that is the first one that I have seen. It seems like all the nice Pumas were exported.
My apologies for the stupid sideways apple pictures......

    Regards,
    Tote
Go home, your igloo is on fire....
2014 Chile Red L494 RRS Autobiography Supercharged
MY2016 Aintree Green Defender 130 Cab Chassis
    1957 Series 1 107 ute - In pieces
    1974 F250 Highboy - Very rusty project

    Assorted Falcons and Jeeps.....

We have just returned from 6 weeks in Sweden and Finland. I was surprised by the lack of 4x4 in general, considering the conditions in winter. We stayed in country areas mainly. We saw a couple of 130 Defenders, 1 L322 TDV8, a couple of RRS and 1 new Disco. We saw a couple of series amongst the usual farming junk and 1 RRC. Very few of the duel cab things we see sooo many of here. Even soft roaders were few and far between.

You should have given me a shout and I could have shown you where the real beasts live!

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.
