A good story, and I do hope she succeeds with her endeavours. It is to be hoped that more people like herself who are educated and know what’s right and wrong can get over t there and help.
Move met quite a few people like this, and the only ones that actually brought the down were they’re own people. One young bloke I worked with ended up quitting a very good well paid job as a sparky due to being hounded by his “brothers” for money food and grog. They bashed him until he gave it to them, week after week. Very sad to see, but he wouldn’t let anyone intervene to help him.

Here is an example of a modern aboriginal woman who refuses to use the maltreatment of the past as an excuse for anything, but prefers to try to use it as a platform for reconciliation.

For decades Aussie families camped at 'Tent land', unaware of what lay beneath them.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

And here are some women , perhaps the most disadvantaged in Australia, doing something about it.

‘We’re real women and we want to live in peace’

Even with tongue in cheek, you asked...

The term reconciliation is bandied about wily nilly with little thought.

The real question is: When did the conciliation occur in the first place, that are you looking to reconcile?

...The answer to your question is actually in the answer to this bigger question. But most want to numb it all down to a little answer that’s more about themselves, their ignorance and their fears, than about the bigger picture.

There are kids stealing and burning cars all over the world all the time, it has nothing to do with their ethnicity. The big answer begins with stopping the ignorant and provocative stereotyping. What are the circumstances that led to a kid stealing and burning a car? ...the failings and inequity of growth capitalist materialism and greed perhaps? Who is perpetuating this? Could this be the cause?

What is causing this is the fact that these kids get away with this sort of thing Scott free time and time again and their parents can't or won't do anything about it and the coppers pretty much have their hands tied.
Just because someone isnt well off doesn't give them the right to steal and destroy someone else's property.

Sure, but that’s not the cause, it’s a symptom.
