    Chrysler Valiant, CM (last of the species) 4.0 Hemi/Auto, Thirsty, yes, but better - mannered than Sarah...and fuel was relatively cheaper back then.

    Had a KILLER air-conditioner (why we bought it, for the summer trip) which needed to be turned down after an hour or two.
    - On a 49 degree day. PAX in the back seat getting frost-bitten...


    Edit:- Around 19 to 24 mpg all up.
