Not to mention Bill Larmans 49 Vauxhall / RRC . As any creation out of Bill's workshop, It's a cracking good conversion !!
Looks like it should have come from the factory like this.

The body from my last Valiant, a CM wagon, looks like that now. I sold it to a specialist Chrysler wrecker who on sold the body shell to a panel shop at Sandgate whp put it on a Patrol chassis. I don't know if it is still about. I sold it in 2006.

The Ford does look a little odd. Way too tall.

I think I have a pic somewhere of a Falcon with Territory AWD mechanicals. It looked very neat. Sat nicely. Not too high.

One of our test cars 🚙 was a BA sedan on Territory/RV running gear. Now that was neat

Interesting comment below about the XY Falcon 4x4 "Marsden said that the four cylinder-powered Land Rovers being used by the Army at the time were proving to be too underpowered, given that they often had to lug heavy payloads of troops and equipment and cover huge distances"

Saw one at the Cooma car club I'll have to dig out the photo.

Lots of stuff on the wagon looks original (to the period Ford 4WD thing) but when they made the 432 utes, I don't believe any wagons were made. That said, I would have it in a heartbeat.

Looks like a Bronco or F100 from those radius arms.
[edit]F100, I think the Bronco had twin front shocks?

I'm not sure why exactly, but I recall almost 500 4x4's being made, as opposed to the 430 odd,,, so maybe they did do a few wagons. I have seen them before, but I guess they could have been mock-ups. (??)

Got me thinking, A local Henry nut in town is restoring a ute and has a collection of Gts. Might have to quiz him.

Used to see a few of the Ford utes around, there was one in Birregurra in the early 90's at the west end of town.

I had an XW Fairmont wagon at the time with a 302 Windsor and C4. Beautiful car.

I do recall a for sale ad that had a wagon body on the jeep chassis up for grabs for big bucks, was supposedly factory and one of only a few made.
