How do you keep kids amused in school holidays?

My neighbor has got a couple of his girls painting the roof, in a very Tom Sawyer fashion.
    They're having a ball.

Better have harnesses blah blah blah...........

I have come to the conclusion i cant give them what they want. Im just not keen enough, or fit enough or dare i say it dumb enough (anymore).
I let my little monsters go during holidays and try get them to keep out of mum and dads hair.

Thus far we have had kids over EVERY ****ING NIGHT THIS HOLIDAY...... but i love kids, just not when there at my damn house!!!
2 kids staying over tonight!!!! That makes 6 damn kids in the house. There should be laws against such things. Really!
I had a kid ring my house at 3.30 am 2 days ago to talk about FORTNIGHT with my youngest son...... 3 ****ing 30 in the am!!!!!

    I love kids.

No need for harnesses or other sooky crap, there's plenty of rust and protruding nails to arrest a slide.

You wouldn't see us for dust during the School holidays - small country town of Boolarra, 'be home before the street lights come on'. Would ride all over the place, catch Crayfish, play down the tip poking dead dogs with a stick (they found a dead taxi driver there once a few days after we'd done our weekly rumage around) - run around the sawmill (operating) until old man Dyer found us and kicked us out threatening to tell Dad...

Still alive with all my fingers. 😊

Well some, not many back in the late 70's. Our street was very dark - Dad petitioned the Council for years to put a street light at the end of Young and Bastin streets - and they did when I was about 18 I think - we'd moved about 5 years before that out to Darlimurla Road.
