Met a land rover man from Thailand

Took the wife and a neighbour to the ginger factory at yandina yesterday as part of a scenic tour arounf the Sunshine Coast in the 130.

Did the usual things and had a tour through the place and bought a couple of momentos for the grandkids etc and decided i would take them out to the car before settling down to a coffee and an ice cream

get back to the truck and a gentleman is taking photographs of it.

struck up a conversation, as you do, and it turns out he is a fellow land rover nutter over here on holidays with the family.

he has a heap of land rovers , mainly series from the pics he showed me as well as english tractors and other associated odds and sods.

said he was picking up a 130 in the next few weeks to add to his collection and showed me a few pics etc etc

i let him know about this place, so we might see here in one day...

    cheers

This joint gets more internationaler by the day. Is it the biggest Land Rover board in the world yet?

depends what you measure it by

we passed the big pommy one many years ago

i cull usernames if people don't make at least 1 post in the first year after they join so the membership numbers dont grow expotentially the way they do on some other boards

not sure how many other land rover forums would get over 10k unique users each and every day of the week, week on week. aulro.com does

the other important measure for me is the regular users number and last time i looked it was over 6k users

whether we are the biggest is of no real consequence to me, when it's all said and done.

i would rather it be rated the best.

Job done, Dave. I'm a member of many, but this is the only one I stick with, and that is not because it's local. It is a place of mostly friends, and I don't know where I'd be without it. Thank you, and your team of Mods.
