Thread: Disco drivers dont wave

I'm a waver...
1 finger, full wave out the window, palm up, doesn't matter, I try 'em all...
It was what convinced me to buy a defender against anything else out there...
Wave rate I reckon is about 80-90%...

What a day

Had waves (most initiated by me) from 2 Discos, a Defender, a Series 3 and even a Rangie Classic and a "Sport" 8O
Over about 9 hours, but all within a 25k radius
Amaaaaazing.

Defender drivers around here won't wave at anyone!

The only waves I get are from truckies, people I know, grey nomads and other D3 drivers.

I wave at everyone.

Keep the waves up. I missed one on the weekend and couldn't tell If they waived.

I can't belive it, a 110 driver didn't wave yesterday ! and it was a kitted out one too, looked like 33"x12"s and a 'Land Rover 110' sticker across the top of the windscreen.
Maybe our closing velocities on the New England Hwy were too fast for him to react.......

going too and sometimes from work

every time i wave

every time the miserable git ignores me

i'm determined to get him to wave!!!

I still have a 100% success record. There hasn't been a Series or Defender driver not wave to me yet. Gotta love driving an icon.

On a recent trip to Darwin and back, the most enthusiastic wave I got was from a 130 heading south. Old geezers with caravans were good for a wave about 30% of the time, but overall my wave return rate was only about 10 - 15%. Pretty dissapointing, considering I was driving windows down with a big arm out wave happening for pretty much every vehicle heading the opposite way.
