    Something else made from Birmabright

    Hello All,

I came across something else that was made from Birmabright and it actually moved very fast. Bluebird K7

Apparently Bluebird K7 went for a run on a loch 10 days ago...

    Accessed 18th August 2018.

The second clip is a brief history of Bluebird K7 which features detailed drawings and a list of construction material... Birmabright.

    No problem Lionel,

A mate in the UK sent me the details shortly after K7 was re-floated.

He and I were members of the 'Thrust SSC' club many years back. This was the land speed record attempt breaking the sound barrier.
I remember a Club meeting where we got to meet Richard Noble and the designer and 'pilot'. It was at Brooklands and after the meeting my mate & I decided to investigate a banked section of the track (without permission....).
It's surprising how steep it is and when you get to the top you now look down into people's back gardens !

Huge sections of the banked track have been removed over the years and they are restricted to a few car meetings a year because of the noise !

    Anyway, I digress......
