Thread: Adventure Rack on a Defender 130 Tub???

Hey Team,
Looking to go down a different path to most with my factory 130 tub, but have a couple concerns before I do.
I have included a photo of what it looks like (Baja Tub Rack) and not sure whether or not the tub will support the weight of this + rooftop tent + myself?
If anyone has any recommendations or ideas to maybe reinforce the tub or even if it will be fine, that would be appreciated.

A load on that rack will tend to push the sides of the tub outwards- I don't know what the strength of the 130 tub is in that regard but I would think it will cause problems with any tub it was fitted to in the long term. Which is another way of saying that is a crap design. I would recommend getting a pair of frames fabricated to do the same job but with a horizontal section the full width of the tub and vertical legs. You would also get a heap more stuff underneath the tent that way.
