Anyway, gone to the beach this arvo, nice and peaceful here.
Until the frigin phone rings.....
Ahhh, the life of a good fridgie,i have done this sort of work for almost 40 yrs,so know how you feel.
Geez, just wait until summer arrives, your gonna get burned out
The worse thing about doing after hours calls is the bloody roadworks,1.00am in the morning not long ago i was held up on the gateway for 25 minutes.I don't know how the truckies put up with that sort of crap.
Where I am, in the suburbs, the work start time is different for Saturday compared to weekday, and different again for Sunday.
Plus, there is a difference for mowing vs. construction/demolition.
I didn't do the overnight hours, but did have plenty of midnight finishes and some 0400 starts. But mostly it was mid-morning till mid evening.
So I got used to snoozing once the surrounding neighbourhood got going.
The overnight work came from being a volunteer firey.
Insulation in the walls and double/triple glazing helps noisewise, as well as for thermal properties.
Daylight is seen as a commodity and many don't want to waste it, whatever day it is.
But weather often dictates when to mow, as do appointments for doctors, opticians, social groups, etc.
So, all you can do is go with the flow and plant a few screening plants/build a high fence.
