The beach changes daily, as do the creek outlets. If you're unsure re depth, walk them. There was a recent photo with beach on the outer side of the Maheno Wreck - I've never seen that. It really depends on whether we get some storms before you go. We have on many occasions had to wait for the tide to drop to continue so yes stopping at Eli is a good idea,

There is also the walk into Lake Wabby from the beach which is just north of Eurong - this is popular with the back packers, but if you like walks.

Also on the Platypus Bay track there is a water crossing towards the end - walk it first, then stick to the left heading out and then the right heading back.

This is good to know. We'll be unloading the slide-on at camp and will be reliant on solar to keep the fridge going. I wonder how that will go????? Anyone know the sun/shade situation at Cathedrals?

Cathedrals unpowered site. You may have to do a bit of panel position now and then. My friend reckons she was still getting a reasonable amount from the panels through the dappled light. It's a wee bit funny that the powered sites get more sun than the unpowered
