Just came across some photos' of my old IIA after I fell asleep at the wheel and ran into a emabnkment at 50 MPH.

I was not wearing a seatbelt. It did have them only they did not work, just kept slipping.

I headbutted the windscreen ops: ops:







Did it up, better than new and sold it when I moved across to Europe. The bloke who bought it said he was going to wreck it.

Yes the bullbar took a lot of the damage, although the chassis was twisted so it got a new 2nd hand one.The bullbar was placed a little way out from the front with a crumple zone built in to it. I put some 109" springs under it to give it a bit more clearance when I rebuilt it :wink:

The driver was knockedout for a breif period and had glass cuts all over his face with glsss in one eye. (It is still there) Something like about 40 or more stitches.

I am glad it was a landrover as if it had of been an old car well I may not have been around after 8)
