How do they know I listen to ABC in the car for many hours a week?
So, you're the person that does that.... Let them know where you drive and get them to leave that transmitter on...

No videos for the last three weeks, I assume they haven’t been able to upload...figures or was the area they are in.....

Than i got thinking, they also plug subscribing as a Patron to hep fund there travels so off I go and have a look. Yep the three weekly videos are available to patrons......

    Grrrrr....

I totally recognize the effort they go to in making the weekly videos.....I certainly appreciate them but I’m not sure I want to start paying. They say you get to see the video before it’s posted to YouTube but I’m wondering given it’s three weeks delay i’m wondering if they only be available to subscribers on Patreon

Currently I follow two overlanders and the others has just created a Patreon account, hopefully they still keep uploading to YouTube

The 1st guys are $1/episode and the others are $3/episode although are currently uploading to YouTube each week which doesn’t cost anything.

Looks like I’ll have to track down other overlanders for my weekly fix.

I'm happy to support a particular vblogger, as I love his stuff. However, he posts to ewetoob around three weeks later for those who aren't.

Just signed up to another creator - Captain Disillusion - go check him out - very funny and informative and puts in a tonne of work into every video - which is mostly debunking viral videos but his explanations of how things are done is brilliant.

As an quick example of what he does -

I'll support those whop support me.

That is, offer their content for free. In return I may make an occasional donation as thanks/support.

Case in point is youtuber techmoan (recommended !)Has a website and a patreon account but all videos are uploaded to YT and available free.

Yep, techmoan is well worth looking at. All the creators I donate to all upload all of their content free to youtube so no paywall as such although some of them post on Patreon a week to a few days before the free upload.

Umm, still no YouTube update on the the couple I was following.

I’m wondering if they thinking they might get enough swing over to find there travel.

But as other have mentioned, how do they increase followers if they don’t release content for free......

Anyway I might sign up for a month or two and see how they progress.

The other couple still upload for free access, I thing there minimum $3/episode is a little steep.

Capitalism. User pays. It’s a bitch LOL.

Creative content is not free. ...Just like oil, fuel, parts, mechanics, etc aren’t free.
