Stockton Beach
I wonder if the explosion @ Anna Bay last night caused by WW2 Ordinance will mean that the beach will be closed, a man and his young daughter had found some 'blinds' and took them home, during the course of handling the devices, one detonated, my understanding was that the beach was closed over 25 years ago whilst the area was swept by the military looking for un-exploded ordinance, I wonder whether this will lead to any further restrictions in the area, the man and his daughter are in a serious but stable condition,.

Ther eis usually ordnance found on the annual cleanup days that used to happen. I haven't received an invitation for a coupleof years.
I recall on the last day I can remember about 4 years ago a mortar shell was found.
I found a 50Cal shell casing, so there is still a lot of stuff around.
