Thought it was funny is all. Will likely try it on one of my mates one day if they dont try it on me first.

The whole you cant do better than me cause im older bull**** is just that bull****.
The whole if you own a lifted car with big wheels therefor your a track wrecker is bull****.
Some of us try damn hard to preserve the tracks. Hell i even pick up rubbish for no ones benefit but my own and the tracks, but hey i own big tyres so im a track wrecker. Pure bull****.

Stereotyping just like me saying all you old bastards are grumpy. Im sure some of you are not.
Bottom line is - did you enjoy it? Yes? Then it doesn't matter what other think mate. I know we disagree on some stuff but don't sweat others not liking the things you do - life's too short. While I'm not the biggest fans of these guys - I did see the funny side to it - reminds me of some of the pranks me and my mates played on each other when we were a bit younger.

Glad I don't drink coffee in the scrub. I'm looking forward to having a mug of tea with you one day (i'll brew it}, maybe Wombat next year.

Outer Limits seems to have gone AWOL, which is a big shame. Do you know anything?

    cheers, DL

I'm sure you've never had any fun or done anything dumb in your life... If that is actually true, then I won't go into how boring your life must be...

You dont know me so you have no idea how boring or otherwise my life must be - but as I said I know someone who had a life changing and potentially fatal event by the very act being discussed.

It is always funny to the person perpetrating the act but rarely for the person on the receiving end.

Read your edit Gary so the question i asked is no longer needed.

These things can be purchased in supermarkets, i thought they were quite safe?

Although i would never risk anything with a pregnant woman. Jokes or not there is an obvious difference here.

    Hi,
Yes I enjoyed the video, thanks for posting it.
The laxative antics may of course have been staged, I hope. Having once been a victim of that prank, believe me, it isn't funny.
The extreme driving? Interesting to see what they can get through and their ability to self rescue, it is all a learning experience for me. That also includes recognising what I won't attempt.
I feel that we, as 4wd track users, should insulate ourselves from potential criticism and having administrative measures restricting our access to places by not always being seen to be degrading tracks to the point that only extreme vehicles can use them.
If we want to use the tracks, we should be seen to be respecting and reparing them, or we will lose them.
    Cheers

    Well....

I always think it's the same group of people who abuse some substance/law and then when the government react, complaint about nanny state

Laxative will cause diahoriea and this can lead to dehydration, hypotension and also most importantly electrolyte imbalance, particularly when driving long distance.

Because the driver may not be able to hydrate enough during driving but also replenish the potassium (K+) in blood serum.
Once you reach a certain degree of imbalance then it can only be corrected with IV. Also low level of potassium can also leak to cardiac arrest

So yeah maybe you should take a full medical history before giving the laxative.

Finally it's not okay to drug your friend.

Play some jokes have fun? Just make clear your intention is for YOU to have fun? Or for your friend(?) to have the fun.

Until on day a retard drug his friends with laxatives in canning stock route and drain all their water/not enough water/his friend has renal problem.

Then laxative will require a script and gp will have to explain the side effects. And some guys will ask why can't I have some fun?By watching my friends pant turning brown

    Cheers
    Martin

Very good point. I guess it is just as well that a not inconsiderable number of our 4wd flock also get involved in projects like Trackcare and "Adopt a Track" often in conjunction with the relevant local/state government departments.

I know of a woman who had a miscarriage after eating some chocolate cake made with laxatives rather than chocolate as a joke.

At the risk of being called childish names, I agree with you. Let's see, running down Emus, knuckle dusting kangaroos, feeding your friends laxatives..... obviously there are some who see that as funny. Not me.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
