I was told today by a Melbourne dealer that LR are looking at the towing setup issue as you can't lower the spare wheel without removing the tow hitch.
Any comments?
Cheers,
Peter
I seem to recall the suspension compressors are made in Japan. Dust ingress issues with the tailgate should be easily fixed by adjusting the rear door catches.

im in Batemans Bay, you are welcome to drive mine if you down this way anytime
Norto,
Thanks for the offer. Can you send me a PM with contact details. I don't think I'll take you up on the offer but you never know. I drove one over the dealers preferred course (no off road & 1/2 hour max) which you obviously don't get much of a feel for the vehicle.
I think I've narrowed my choice down to 1 vehicle - the SE TDV6 - & will just have to work around the other things & find one available with the spec I want - adaptive headlights, towpack, door mouldings, front mudflaps, rear active difflock (takes huge load off traction control when towing off road). I would love the stereo controls & better stereo system but can't see $3,500 value there.
Does anyone who has one have any other ideas on what extras are good to have (budget to be borne in mind by me!).
Cheers,
Peter
