Yes, was listening to that - isn’t tomorrow his 28th consecutive Melbourne marathon?
All the best for your run - what time are you looking to hit?
ABC Radio had a 90 year old who is running the Melbourne marathon tomorrow. He mentioned he ran a 3:30 marathon last year but will be a bit slower this run!
How about running a marathon with a fridge on your back
I am taking a few coins to weight him down. Hope he get to stop and deposit the coins he collects
Next to those to and hundreds of others I am not able to be called a running nut by my family any more.
Bob 10 show this to your superstar.

I had a slightly slower than planned 3:36 time. I am about 59th in my age group so still in top 10% or close at several levels. I am alway grateful that I can run at all to be honest.
It was carnage sadly for may with heat or pushing to hard knocking more than I have ever seen before to the deck including more than one ambulance. Everyone I know had a good/great run. Met a really cool gent former police office who was overweight and suicidal now a leading runner for his age and a tough person to keep up with for me today. The Spartans ( Complete more than 10 Melbourne Marathons ) including the nice 90 year old are legends in so many ways. Several have run every single MM. One lamented he missed the very first as he did not know about it. I have another five years to get the basic level of 10
I did see he washing machine man before the start. I tossed a few coins in for the charity he was collecting for before he was underway. Toss in a few Olympic stars walking at or faster than most people run and lots of other fun stuff to see. Dozens of kids with High Fives, snakes and jelly beans being supplied by the crowd even an ice pole by a kind family I see every year. I missed one whoops!
It was apparently a record number of runners with two records broken for the men and women's marathon time. Old and young, big and small, light and heavy all slogging a 42km run with mostly smiles
Congrats on your run NavyDiver! The 90yo running 3:30 it insane, but 3:30 is just mind numbing, that is quick!!
!
Cheers
