I drove a beige 244 once with a warm Holden 308 in it. That wasn't half bad either.... But the Rover V8, worked appropriately, would be better. Nowadays you'd just drop a Gen 3 or 4 into it. That's the default now. CRS do kits to fit that engine into just about anything, including Fords.... My Indy has a D1a with 6.0ltr Gen4 and 6-speed auto. His is quicker, but mine is cooler (so he reckons). Anyway, i feel that we've strayed somewhat from the thread topic....![]()
