Yep, not ideal.......
So long as the tests stay on free to air.......I’ll be happy
That's what is predicted when people turn on their TVs on Sunday to watch the first one-dayer between South Africa and Australia and can't find it because the ODIs are only on pay TV.
Shock horror, what is the world coming to?
Cricket viewers in for a shock with Australia-South Africa ODIs behind paywall
Cricket fans beware — Australia v South Africa ODIs won't be on free-to-air TV - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Yep, not ideal.......

Yes that sucks. I like my cricket and I can't afford to own Landrovers and have pay tv at the same time.![]()

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Got to be kidding!
So how much revenue is enough?
Professional sport is now driven by greed, onwards and upwards.
what does the CA CEO get paid now I wonder.
Eventually Local Tests will disappear behind a paywall as well.
And considering the recent cheating fiasco the timing is very poor but of course we the mug punters will just forget and move on.......

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
And this is part of the problem with Australian cricket at the moment
The decision to make the ODI's only available on pay tv is another one which was done without true consultation of of cricketing supporters.
I won't be making Foxtel richer by watching the cricket there, most of us will be poorer for it.
Why does this corporate world believe that we all subscribe to pay tv and push and poke our fingers around on mobile phones?
So, first the team kills off part of their support base through cheating, then Cricket Australia aims to finish the job through a boneheaded pay-TV deal. It's like no one learnt anything from the local basketball league fiasco. When they went away from free-to-air match broadcasting everyone, and I mean EVERYONE lost interest. The number of spectators at actual games is directly proportional to the mass visibility of the sport.
GIve it back to the ABC. Widespread coverage and no ads . Win win
