Vibration in driveline at 100km hr.

    Hi all
Have a vibration at around 100km hr. This is on my 130 tdi tray back. It appears to be in the drive line somewhere, have checked all shafts, and uni joints very carefully, and it all looks good. New tyres on balance should be ok. Just wondering if anyone has had same prob.

    Cheers Sumo.

I get a vibration accompanied by a humming noise at around 85kmh that goes away once yo get to 105 or thereabouts. All shafts and uni's are fine. I'm thinking gearbox input shaft bearings or somewhere near there....

i had a tyre service for ten years, some times we found mud had dried on the inside of the wheels, upsetting the balance causing vibration . worth a look

I blame the Beach Boys for my vibes and they are not good...at 100 kph.

The wheels should be checked for balance in the first instance...and on the disco the rubber rear diff driveshaft universal substitute joke.
