N
Not it Perth it wouldn't and most certainly not where I live[bigwhistle]
Wouldn't it be cheaper and more importantly Safer just to take a bus than risk life and limb on one of those e scooters?
They do look like a lot of fun but as a serious means of transport Not so much.
How much would they cost to buy. If you're hiring them regularly they'd soon pay for themselves.
Well you were commenting about a post in Brisbane CBD.....
Yeah did it mainly because it new and just had to have a go
I could have walked, not that it was super hot but I would have worked up a sweat and wouldn’t have enjoyed lunch as much
On the scooter I arrive refreshed....
oh no bus between point A and B, option are walk, train, Uber, taxi. Once my credit runs out I’ll be back to walking
I think they will fill a gap in and around CBD’s, I’d grab one over the bike system. The biggest benefit is you can off hire right where you pull up and not have to worry about finding a dock. Yeah yeah county folk won’t get there head around it but it’s a little different in the big smoke.
Maybe I should ask work what their position is on using the scooters to attend meetings.....
I can get the Light Rail to town for $1.00.
we don't have access to rail or even a bus here, We don't even have a bitumen road in front of the house.
We do have 3x 4WD's and a little Hyundai "Buzz Box" to get us to town though as public transport isn't an option[biggrin]
I am surprised that there has been little said about safety. Aquick google search and I saw something about elbow and knee pads advised, besides a mandatory helmet. I am sure some others would advocate hi vis clothing , lights and reflectors too. Though I hope this never happens.
