am i About to risk my life

I got back to the office and survived....so did all the pedestrians, bikes and cars I encountered.

Not sure about the pricing......when compared to the council city bike rate. Best thing is you don’t have to dock them, you just lock the scooter and walk, next person hops on and they are away.

Certainly way less hassle than the bike scheme much like Uber v taxi systems

    1st trip 1.2km $4.60 12min
2nd trip 1.4km $3.70 9min......used bike lanes on the way back to save time.

My sone having a quick ‘illegal’ ride

Soooo many people think they are cool although I suspect some users may **** punters off.

I believe they have been given a licence for a trial.

I got upto 21km/hr....seem to sit between 10-12km/hr

EV Scooters of all kinds are the way of the future for cities for sure. We might as well get used to them buzzing around silently and scaring us oldies out of our grundies!

Yep, now we just need the laws to catch up to allow them to be legal everywhere and for enforcement to realise this won't end up being the death of everyone (only a few stupid people I think)

What happens when they go flat - who charges them?

    Bring it on.

I see you can sign up to be paid to collect in the arvo, charge, and drop off in the morning.

It says you can make upto $150 per night....

    Sounds like a total nightmare.

The worst thing about share bikes is when there is no more rack space where you need to park the bike.
It will be 1000 times worse for charging points for all kinds of EV's!!

The RAC will make a killing rescuing stranded EV's. They will be everywhere!

    !
Not really, if I owned a small coffee shop in the city I’d grab the closest ones, put on charge over night and roll them out front in the morning. Or if I lived in a high rise apartment in the city.

Seems smart to get general public to do it.

The app show you the charge level and distance in each scooter...

It needs to be cheaper, ATM everybody is using them out of novelty but that will where off.

As I was locking mine on my return trip a person was standing next to me and unlocked before I got into the building
