and then
it still doesn't work!
no more time today, guess I'll have to play the game again tomorrow.
joy oh joy...
need a lesson in utter frustration ?
need to test your patience ?
I have the perfect solution....
the myGov website and linking accounts so you can actually do something that used to be so simple.
I already have a few things linked like my tax etc etc
but have been trying to get Medicare linked
answered all the questions, I know the answers are correct but, linking fails every time.
so ring the number provided, wait the required time, speak to a very nice gentleman from the medicare help line and find that after all these years of living at the same place (33 in fact) that medicare haven't got it listed
so if you go to myGov and need to link your medicare account and it doesn't work...
save yourself a buckled of frustration and time and ring the medicare helpline and make sure they actually have your residential address in their database otherwise nothing you try on the myGov site will work as expected.
off to try it now that I have been told it should now work as expected...
apparently it is a very common problem.

Maybe you could tender to provide them with IT services. The website may then actually work, wouldn't that be novel.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Hmm I feel your pain but in this case you are obviously doing something wrong - to state the obvious - it is not the sight.
The myGov site after years of being a pain in the ass has finally got itsself sorted. I have been using the etax section and was difficult to use but over the past few years worked well.
About 6 months ago my doctor decided not to do medicare refunds through his process so to get it now I have to use the myGov site.
It took me about 5 minutes to link a Medicare account into my MyGov account and all went as it was supposed too. I have had no problems claiming, it is just a pain scanning docs etc - so still a bit dirty on my doc but that is how it goes.
So for me the process of setting up the medicare side of myGov worked fine but I can understand others having possible issues. If you ring, you need to do it right on 9.00am proper time before all the dole bludgers wake up and clog the government systems.
Good luck - you will need it.

Updating my assets on Centrelink (I go in via MyGov) is often an exercise in frustration. One updates the info and then tries to save it only to be told the system is unavailable at this time.
Over and over again, day after day.

BIG BROTHER!
Bit like dealing with Telstra twp weeks in a row they have sent me a text to say they will be ringing me in 15 min. to give me an update on a complaint I have with then ,two weeks they havenot rang ( had no missed calls then next day receive a email next day to say they tried to call but i did not be contacted . The 1st week they said they called on a phone number that was not mine & not connected to our account but they can send the text to the correct number.
As for Centerlink I have never been able to contact them on line as every password they give me never works , they are waisted space as far as I am conserned.
