Whether the new Defender should keep the name or get a Discovery badge instead?

Keep the name. Its a Defender still, and just like the previous versions of the Defender, it wasn't all that different to the other Landys of the time in the driveline and chassis and so will be the case with the new one.

We need to come to terms with the fact that all of these vehicles have to evolve and the only one that hasn't really been evolving in the last 30 years has been the Defender which is a part of the reason why it doesnt sell in volvumes, it has missed a generation or 3 of notable design updates and it is now about to come up to date - its not so different between the old and new Discovery and the old and new Range Rover. The Defender is as differentiated across the marque as any of LandRovers other current products.

    Nope. 👍

I think Weeds and I are the only ones here that would take the time to vote in this. We must be younger than everyone else. 😆
