Hmmm, doesn't seem to mention how it works at all. No idea what they mean or how it is supposed to work - short of the idea and how you've done yours, not sure what they want from you - do they expect you to allow others to drive it?![]()
I was contacted in the last few days about an interesting idea using EV converted Reborn Series LandRovers in a Tourisim / Community share initiative, it appears my EV Rover conversion has spawned some inspiration.
Im not quite sure what to make of it . I can see Eco Tourists really going for this but I'm not sure I fully understand the Community car share aspect.
Thoughts please . check this ---> Jaunt

If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Certainly some lovely photography - but no real detail on what it's about. I think the idea is for you to hire out your car... so why do you need Jaunt?
Their inspiration may have come from the electric Defender trials in Africa around 2010/11, coupled with your now, much better setup.
Eco-Friendly Safari Cars : electric Land Rover Defender
Maybe they want to hire Don to build a fleet of electric Land Rovers? The web page reads as a startup company to me.

03 130 Td5 Single Cab

Thanks for sharing Don,
I'm one of the founders of Jaunt, and we've definitely been inspired by what you've done with the lightweight.
AULRO has directly lead to this project in many ways. I bought a Disco 2 TD5 15 years ago and caught the Land Rover bug. Learnt everything about modifying (and repairing that) from this site and I now own a Puma Defender. I sometimes wonder if Jaunt is just a way to for me to justify playing wtih old Land Rovers for a job.....
I'd really appreciate any thoughts comments or critiques. I realise there's not too much information on our public site as you've noticed. All that detail is currently in PowerPoint slides, spreadsheets, CAD files and business plan documents for now. Let me know if you'd like more detail on anything. We'll eventually be looking for build, service and support partners across Australia and hoping that a few of you guys can be involved.
Cheers, Dave.
Dont do it.
its going to be like ride share, others get to use your vehicle.
