It has dropped to 29 overnight, supposed to reach 45 today and tomorrow, a little cooler at 44 on Friday, and down to 42 on Saturday, before dropping to normal summer temperatures of mid thirties on Sunday, and then creeping up again.
John, interested to know what your humidity is. Daytime here is averaging around 50% while nights are around 80% +, which is getting a bit sticky.
My sister and her family are on a station in the Woomera Ranges. Yesterday arvo she sent me a photo of a thermometer reading 48 in the shade! Nasty.
At the moment it is 41.7 on the front veranda, 34 on the back, and humidity is 28% according to my machine, but I don't know how accurate that is. In Dubbo at the moment it is 34.8 and 24%. By the time the temperature reaches the peak forecast of 45 at 4pm, I expect the humidity will be down to around 15%.
36.7 on the back verandah here in Yass at 21:30. It's been nice and warm today.

Tote

Yesterday's official temp was 45.8 and today is was over 45.

The highest it read was 67.5 when I pointed it at hard bare patch of soil in front of my shed.
