Thread: Toyota driver fined for slow driving on Perth Freeway

I would fight that ticket in court, the speed limit is just that a "Limit" not a "Target".
There is nowhere in the rule book that says you HAVE to drive at the posted speed limit But it does say that you shouldn't exceed it.
I am willing to Bet that a driver going 28kph Faster than the posted limit are FAR more dangerous that this driver.

I am led to believe that there is a " not less then 20 under posted limit" thing on WA freeways or something like that.

You may be right But I cannot recall ever seeing this sign when I have been on the freeways in Perth.
So what happens in torrential rain, heavy smoke or fog? Is everyone supposed to hurtle along at 100kph "Blind"?

Which is the 'Slow' lane ?
There is an inside lane which you should return to once you've overtaken.....there is no 'Slow' lane or 'Fast' lane.

Common sense kicks in !

Slow vehicles can cause issues with people mis-judging speed when they come up behind them and then making poor lane changing decisions. If you were in a vintage/veteran vehicle you would probably get away with it but maybe don't use the Freeway.

Its that lane they tack on hills, you know , the one that advises slow moving traffic to use the SLOOOW LANE

OK, with you now.......

Using that lane you won't get prosecuted but when the lane ends its....keep up with the flow.

Being a professional driver if your going slower than the posted limit stay to the left which is how i see it

Not on the Monash Fwy which is 5 lanes between Warrigal rd to Jacksons rd and no trucks allowed in the RH lane but you get the 4 inner lanes all traveling well below the posted speed

I have jumped in the RH lane once to pass these idiots only to find out the fine is 10 g

Now if im in the fourth lane and some numb skull with the other 3 lanes of tools all want to do 80 they get high beams flashed and the air horn .

And you know something majority of the time these dills jump in the RH lane still doing 80
