Saw this in an ad on Facebook. Very clever, but would YOU work under a car sitting on this?

AFAIK they are designed for working on the wheels, brakes etc. The tyre shop i go to have 3 and they are awesome for getting the work at a comfortable height.
OP's question no i wouldnt work under it but id work beside it
Would be good to lower a car on blocks also, then id get under it
Cheers Jim
No way I would use that. The ones the tyre shops use are much more heavy duty. This one is built about as strong as my Motorbike Hoist - which has a 500Kg capacity.
Maybe if you just wanted to rotate the tyres on a small car, but not much good for anything else IMO. If you like the idea - there are much better units out there that do similar but I'd trust to lift a decent weight.

The link shows it as $399 but currently $89...? Not sure what the catch is there...

Guy 2 doors up from me has one to work on his Ford GT40 , probly not that brand , but works well for him & has never had a problem.
I've got Land Rovers! I don't need to work on my vehicles.
Ooooh, sorry, wrong forum.
No way I'd get under that thing. Good for headlight/taillight work perhaps?
My local mechanic only has them in his garage - no problems at all - listed in the car magazines for $2490 and have a 2700kg lift.
