As the netherworld now , it probably wouldn’t be mistaken for a traditional pub . The Halloween get up is fun though.

I think the last time I had a pot at the Shamrock, it cost me 1/6.
I also remember when there was a cop on point duty at the five-way.

Thrown out actually. At this time the pub had a great collection of parrots in a big cage. Quite the attraction. Dad and his brother went down one night after closing and let the lot out. I went into the Shamrock a year or two ago, just to have a beer with Grampy, so to speak. The people at the bar were the living dead, I drank my beer and slowly backed out. Should never look back, just forward.
If they lived in Jeays St. Bowen Hills, why did they walk past the Jubilee to go to the Shamrock? Were they barred from the Joob?

The Shamrock was never a nice pub. Not quite a bloodhouse but the next step up. As the Valley changed into the nightclub precinct and the pubs got buggered around, the Shamrock was the last drinkers pub left in the Valley. Last time I went in there was not long before it got changed to Goth or whatever it is now. There were only about a half dozen bar flies in there.

The Jubilee did not exist. And it was only grand dad. and his army mates, about 1930. It was the local,[Shamrock] back then. Dad & his brother were about 10 years old.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Just checked, the Jubilee was built in 1888, my bad. It was a good pub when Chris Handy ran it.

I was about to tell you that. Date was on the facade. It probably was built before the Shamrock.
