Is any of it being produced locally or is everything coming from Denmark?

Ended up at 14.6kWh for the day.

Yes, but the point is that it was sunny with light winds in, for example, central Victoria where the wind farms are and we have this national grid ...

    Valid point Eevo.

One thing I noticed this afternoon was Vic using a massive amount of hydro.

It is quite reasonable to assume that this stored resource is available because of the expansion of the wind /solar sector in the vacuum of a lack of new coal fired generation.

The reasons for the lack of new coal fired generation are multi-faceted and I watch all this with no opinion either way

When the wind has been blowing and the sun has risen sometimes hydro stays available on the shelf charged up and ready to go I would like to think.

    cheers, DL

Need more interstate connectors so available power can be moved around. For example, Snowy Hydro 2.0 will need about $2b in transmission upgrades to be able to deliver it's full potential output.

And another interconnector is planned to deliver Tasmanian hydro to SE Oz.

It would help if the Franklin River had a nice hydro power station on it.

    Ho Ho!
