    Don't forget the "HORROR" part...
Well we are talking about it so the headline works even if it is an overstatement.

It word seem the “journalists “ reporters editors or who ever approves these lead in have a very limited vocabulary. Horror crashes, iconic this or that, coming to terms with etc. Devalued words and phrases.

You reckon their instruments are accurate to 0.1 degrees?

    Hottest temperature: 46.1 °C (115.0 °F), 12 January 1939
And what about heat island effect?

    Regards Philip A

You'd think that the BOM employed experts instead off small boys waving their mum's turkey thermometer, eh?

Meanwhile, SA's temp records are falling like the fruit bats near the zoo.

Relief for Adelaide Friday, meanwhile Nagambie and Avenel without power.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

The thing to start worrying about, especially in Victoria, is not so much the prospects of power outages, as the fact that the weather situation over the weekend is looking very like the weather situation on Black Saturday, Ash Wednesday, and Black Friday - with even more people living close to or in bushfire prone areas!

And despite SA enjoying a record heat wave with nearly 3GW of consumption currently, it's exporting a few 10's of MW to Victoria. Hope tomorrow goes OK for you guys, SA seems to be hanging on just fine at the moment.
