Thread: Attention Cairns, Townsville and Airlie Beach members

Hi All,

I'm on the hunt for a long term storage option for my 130 Defender in Airlie Beach, Townsville or Cairns. We are based in the Latrobe Valley in Victoria, but as we have a child in primary school and my partner is a school teacher, we can only travel a few weeks at a time. For the last year or so we've based the vehicle in Brisbane (huge shout out to The Ho Hars who have been looking after the 130 there), but are starting to plan to head further north. Our preference is to store in and around cities with direct flights to Melbourne.

At this stage we are thinking about heading north from Brisbane in April, and would be looking for storage from 27 April 2019 onward. We haven't got firm plans to come back for it ... but likely in either the July or September school holidays. We'd probably do 2 weeks touring around Cairns then, and return the vehicle to storage (pref in Cairns) till Easter 2020 when we'd pick it up again. On the bucket list it to do a trip up the Cape, and then head across into NT ... but hard to plan that far ahead.

If you have room at your property, doesn't have to be undercover although obviously that would be a bonus, and would be interested, let me know via PM inc your 'terms'. I'm also open to 'shared use' if anyone can make use of the vehicle when we don't need it as part of the arrangement. A couple of photos below so you know what's on offer.

We are aware there are commercial storage options available ... they are a bit of a stretch financially for us ... and I much prefer knowing the vehicles in good AULRO hands. If you would prefer to chat PM me and we can exchange numbers.
