A magnet's north pole points north. So, If the same magnetic poles repel eachother then is north really north?

The magnetic north pole is actually a 'south' pole when you describe it as a magnet. Yes, really!

In a similar vein, when a current flows along a wire from positive to negative - the electrons are actually moving in the opposite direction!

If I was buried in an avalanche, it wouldn't be saliva, and it would be coming from a different orifice.
