Same in Qld. May not be transferred. The plates are to be handed in. New owner must be a financial member of an approved club to obtain Special Interest Registration. There are still some vehicles on the older schemes in Qld that have Veteran, Vintage, or Historic plates. The SI scheme started in 1999 from memory and is for any vehicles 30+ years old. Many would like the older plates to be transferable but the bureaucracy will not give way on this.
